We have committed to running the full schedule for both the New York Super Stock (NYSS) Series and Race of Champions (RoC) Super Stock Series for the 2019 season, with the goal of competing for the season championship in both touring series.
Moving forward
2019 will be the 10th season of racing for Willis Motorsports, and 6th year fielding a Super Stock entry. The team started out running a 4 cylinder “Scorpion” division stock car at Spencer Speedway weekly from 2010 through 2013. After dominating
the competition and winning the 2013 NASCAR Track Championship at Spencer Speedway, the team decided to make the move up to the full-size, V8 powered Super Stocks for the 2014 season, and have been running them ever since.
2018 was a roller-coaster of a season for Willis Motorsports. After a hard crash during the first race of season and power-train issues during the following weeks, the team started the season with a DNF, DQ, and DNS. After the rocky
start, the team went on a tear over the rest of the season, collecting 11 top-5 finishes, 14 top-10 finishes, and a heart-breaking 6 2nd-place finishes. The team is looking forward to carrying the momentum into the 2019 season and competing for
both the RoC and NYSS championships.
